Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Superstar – Part Time

We are looking for the right person to join our growing team. If you are energetic, pleasant, reliable, and want to work with patients in an awesome private medical eye care office, then this may be the job you’ve been looking for!

Our ideal candidate is dedicated, trustworthy, genuine, and really cares about making patients feel welcome. This is a part-time position with the possibility of developing into a full-time position based on business needs. Must be available to work weekdays between the hours of 8:30 am – 6:30 pm.


  • Provide excellent customer service to our patients and leave lasting positive impressions
  • Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, assist with checking-in, and answer general questions
  • Update patient information, schedule appointments, place contact lens orders, guide patient through the check-out process and billing at the end of the patient’s visit
  • Confirm upcoming appointments, check insurance coverage and eligibility, submit insurance claims, notify patients about the status of their contact lens or glasses orders
  • Answer phone calls, check voicemails, emails, and text messages from patients, and follow up promptly
  • Provide assistance with prescreening and pretesting patients before eye exams
  • Follow office opening and closing procedures, keep office areas organized and clean on daily basis, and restock supplies

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have super strong interpersonal skills and be really comfortable with face to face communication, as well as have strong phone communication skills
  • Recent experience in a medical office or any type of healthcare setting is preferred
  • Ability to use technology and various web-based software systems quickly and efficiently
  • Must be extremely efficient, organized, and resourceful
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages and nationalities
  • Ability to read, write, type, and speak English at a proficient level that will foster effective communication with patients, staff, and other offices
  • Strong computer literacy required with good typing speed, familiarity with scanning and uploading documents, and using keyboard shortcuts
  • Must have at least a high school diploma
  • Must be available to work weekdays and some weekday evenings
